Shayani Jayasinghe

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree (Honors) in History from University of Colombo and a Master’s Degree in Global Studies from Sophia University. Tokyo.  She currently works as a Research Officer of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS), Colombo. She has conducted research with many vulnerable groups such as victims of domestic violence and abuse, sex workers and undocumented migrants in Sri Lanka and Japan. Her current research interests are on the socio-economic challenges faced by migrants and IDPs in different parts of the world.
